Cool Hollow Maple Farm was established in 2013 by Ricky and Sam Harper. Located in the mountains of Pendleton County, WV, this family-run farm produces pure male syrup and maple products, as well as offering tours of the sugar house. The trees were originally tapped through the 1930's as a means for the family to have sugar. This sugar was used to barter for grains and other necessities. Once cane sugar became readily available, the trees were left untapped for over 70 years, until being opened again in February 2014. The operation started with approximately 3200 taps and has expanded to nearly 6000.
